A Traveler's Dream Wedding at The Mayton Inn, Cary NC
On April 23rd, I had the honor of documenting the wedding of Brian Scott and Lyndsey! They held their ceremony and reception at the gorgeous Mayton Inn in Cary NC. This day called for potential thunderstorms, but it couldn't have turned out more perfect for an outdoor ceremony. Their theme was travel, complete with globes, post cards, and hundreds of origami map swans (ALL hand folded by the couple)!
Lyndsey wore a backless lace gown. The train was perfection and it fit her like it was made for her alone! She looked timeless yet comfortable, and chic. She had her mother, grandmother (affectionately nicknamed Nana), and two bridesmaids, Mallory and Lauren at her side. They made sure she was perfect for Brian to see!
Whilst the ladies worked on getting Lyndsey ready for her groom, Brian grabbed a drink with his groomsmen Kris and Eric in the library of The Mayton Inn. His father joined soon after. This space is covered in warmth from head to toe and was a great place to relax before it was time to see his bride!
There was one last task before the ceremony! The "First Look" was absolutely adorable. It was very important to Brian that the first time he saw Lyndsey would be down the aisle, but they wanted a few minutes to be together before the ceremony. Blind folded, Brian waited for Lyndsey to sit by his side. They shared a few sweet nothings and a kiss. We left them alone for a bit and Brian was whisked away to be taken out to the ceremony!
The ceremony took place on the beautiful terrace outside of The Mayton Inn's restaurant Verandah. The skys opened up to let the sun peek through and shine on the amazing couple's moment. The ceremony featured readings from both of Lyndsey's brothers and a beautiful song by Brian's sister. Everything was heart warming. You could truly feel how much Lyndsey and Brian loved each other but also how much they were loved by their friends and family.
We decided to embrace the elegance of The Mayton Inn for their formals! The couple expressed how important it was for them to see the brick be a part of their pictures and the huge map in The Library. They were prepared to show off how amazing they both looked. The romance between this couple is unreal!
The reception was beautiful and fun! First dances were perfection! And the night went on...
The only thing sweeter than cake...
