Wedding at the Borden Building at Fletcher Park- Raleigh NC Caroline + Dan's More Than Traditional Wedding
Dan + Caroline invited Nine19 Photography out to capture their wonderful wedding at The Borden Building at Fletcher Park in Raleigh NC. They kept their wedding simple and traditional... with a couple of new and very, very old traditions. When we arrived we were so excited to be reunited with this couple and their family! Both Dan and Caroline are close with their parents and Dan's daughters are very close to their father and new step mother! Their style, so classic yet quirky, shows through during their wedding day. The ceremony featured a traditional Japanese Wedding San San Kudo, where the pouring and sipping of Sake is done in threes , the three by three interaction between the bride and groom has great meaning in the Japanese culture, which is a culture close to Caroline and Dan's hearts and love story. They also did a "Bury the Bourbon" which is a Southern tradition of burying a bottle of bourbon on the premises (a garden to preserve the grounds) before your wedding. digging it up the day of, and taking shots for good luck and perfect weather for the big day! Unfortunately, we couldn't find the bourbon, but I am sure it made a squirrel's day to find it! I hope you enjoy the portraits below and don't forget to leave some love for the happy newlyweds!
These girls are SO beautiful!
And the moment you all have been waiting for: I present to you, Mr. + Mrs. Callahan
Now to find the bourbon... or not!
A HUGE congrats to this couple on their nuptials! And I cannot wait to shoot their holiday family sessions this year! So keep your eyes peeled!
