Baby Willow Birth Photography at UNC - 7lbs 3.9oz of Awesome
Yesterday I got to spend the whole day cuddling with Baby Willow! She's 3 days old and perfect. She was born at UNC Hospital's labor and delivery in Chapel Hill NC, weighed in at a strong 7lbs 3.9oz and 19.5 inches long at 11:26am on Mother's Day! This little girl was everything her family needed!
Willow is Wes and Ali's first. They did an amazing job creating her, didn't they? Not only are they passing down great genes, they are starting her off on the right path for sports too! Both love football and made sure she would be representing the right team! DAAAAA BEARS! She also has a cute North Carolina State University outfit, but was a tad bit too tiny to fit it :)
Ali is loving being a new mother! It was amazing to just sit with her and see her heart literally melt every time she looked down at little Willow. She's a natural at calming her and helping her nap comfortably. These two are already best friends.
Do I dare say it? I DO! Willow already has her daddy wrapped around her teeny tiny finger. Wes lights up around her. To say that he is so gentle with her is an understatement. His bond to his three day old daughter is so strong, nothing could ever get between them.
And maybe it was an misstep to call Willow their first. They do have several fur babies too! Meet Maggie... she was so sweet and calm around Willow. She was curious but also didn't want to disturb the little one. Those who know Maggie know that its unusual to describe her as calm, which is proof the dogs truly are aware and highly intelligent beings!
My favorite thing about little Willow? She was so calm, so sweet, and so wide awake. She watched (as much as a 3 day old can) and followed as I snapped all around her. She showed me her baby blues (pun intended) and made adorable squishy faces all day. Willow was seriously a lifestyle photographer's dream baby!
Unless, of course, it was time to get a diaper change!
I thoroughly enjoyed my day with this wonderful new family! I cant wait to do it again... Who's Next?! ;)
